The 21 Martyrs: Faith Unto Death πŸ™ | Coptic Christians Who Refused to Deny Jesus

1–2 minutes

read

In 2015, twenty-one Coptic Christian men were kidnapped by ISIS in Libya. They were poor laborers, far from home, taken captive simply because of their faith.

On a beach by the Mediterranean Sea, with cameras rolling, they were given one choice: deny Jesus and live… or confess His name and die.

One by one, their final words were not curses but a confession: β€œLord Jesus Christ.” Their blood ran into the sea, but their testimony shook the world.

The Coptic Church honored them as martyrs, their families declared pride in their sacrifice, and Christians everywhere were inspired by their courage.

Their story reminds us that faith isn’t finished when the world says it’s over. It challenges us to live boldly for Christ β€” no matter the cost.
